About

I am committed to the values of justice, fairness and respect and I have been working in the intellectual property field for 15 years.

My name is Stéphanie Martin and I am a legal counsel. I have held various positions in the fields of research, standardization and European affairs, in particular in the fight against counterfeiting and the promotion of the right to fair remuneration of audiovisual authors.

My experience across various sectors has afforded me a broad vision of issues relating to creative, technical and scientific sectors. In particular, I:

  • advised researchers, technicians and collective rights management organisations
  • worked in the fight against counterfeiting
  • provided trainings to promote research valorisation (copyright on texts and images, image rights, patents,…)
  • rolled out a trade secret strategy in order to protect an algorithm
  • contributed to the protection of software

I hold a Master’s degree in Law and Practice of International Solidarity and a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property law. My choices were influenced by my desire to help others and defend the most elementary rights.

This is the way I wish to contribute to the world:
make it a fairer and more beautiful place.

Why did I create Aquarelle Consulting?

I wanted to offer without any intermediary my cross-sector experience in the protection of intellectual property rights to those concerned.

I feel the need to be in direct relation with authors and creators. I wish to meet them, understand their situations and their work, so they can become actors of their own protection all the while being supported by my expertise.

I think that authors, performers, creators, inventors and innovators make us dream, help us escape reality, have a perspective, move forward and improve. They give their own colours to life and make us see the colours of the world (hence the name Aquarelle).
